Company Description
Until 1997, Mayfair Management, Inc. managed, owned and developed health care facilities. During that year, the company was split with Mayfair Management retaining management functions and Mayfair Enterprises, Inc. obtaining the development responsibilities. Mayfair Enterprises also holds significant ownership in the existing facilities as well as certain sites to be developed.
The companies have their roots in a predecessor company, Health Care Centers of America, Inc., which dates back to the late 1960’s. Its first assisted living facility opened in 1987. There are currently facilities under management in Virginia and Maryland. Mayfair Management manages assisted living facilities under the name Mayfair House and dementia facilities under the name Eden Pines. Mayfair Enterprises currently operates 13 facilities. Since 1987, only facilities for the private pay market have been developed and the company has no plans to build for the public assistance market.
